What We Do

Our evidence-based nutrition interventions target pregnant and lactating women, infants, and under-five children to break the intergenerational cycle of undernutrition.

We strengthen, extend, and amplify the impact of partners — including governments, non-government organizations (NGO), academic institutions, and private sector organizations — working to reach the most nutritionally vulnerable groups, underserved by existing systems. We provide resources and technical assistance, use an implementation science framework to plan, monitor, and evaluate existing programs, and promote advocacy efforts rooted in our years of experience in nutritional programming.

In close collaboration with our program partners, we work to:

Increase access to an evidence-based package of solutions

focusing on the first 2,000 days of life — from pregnancy to five years of life — through our Micronutrient Grant Program, the promotion of optimal Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN), and the Poshan Innovation Platform.

Expand and strengthen evidence-based nutrition services

provided by our local and national program partners through technical assistance such as Learning Solutions, Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation, and Implementation Research.

Support advocacy efforts

to create an enabling environment for optimal nutrition outcomes and effective nutrition programming.
